I haven't lost my marbles! In fact, I have collected them since I was a teen, when you could buy a jar for under $5.00.
Some of my favorite marbles are in an old California Job Case that I refinished, and covered with glass, and hung on the wall, before I had children, even. (More then 15 years ago...)
I spent hours arranging the colors in the little rectangles, which used to house printer's type. (Do you see the metal handle on the left of the wood cabinet? That is the drawers's handle.) This type tray (called a California job case by those in the know) would have been a long low drawer in a cabinet.
I love the color, shape and sound of marbles, and loved playing with them as a child. I never played the "real" game of marbles as a child. Instead, we would roll them along the floor, knocking down blocks, and sometimes roll them down the stairs.
I also have Jars and Jars of marbles.
I'm guessing my marble display is a little dated now, (And I suppose my teal ragged walls are dated too!), but I have always loved my marble collection. I can no longer find marble jars with gorgeous marbles for under $5.00, though. :)

Great collection. The colors and patterns are just beautiful. I love the plain greens ones too.
My son loves marbles, though he doesn't have a collection, he does have some favorites.
Wow! I've never seen a marble display like that. It could never be dated. Its perpetual. What a conversation piece it must be when folks first come to your home. Too cool!
I love your marble collection! It reminds me of playing marbles with my grandmother when I was a child! Nice memories! Thanks for sharing!
What a great collection. Thanks for sharing. I have a large old candy jar full of marbles, that came out of my Father's things except for a few that were given to me.
Fantastic collection - it has such a graphic appeal the way you have arranged the colors. Really neat!
What a wonderful collection! The colors are really striking when all together. Jean

What an awesome collection! And they look so pretty!
Rosie said that my collection must be a conversation piece - One of the number one comments (by kids) is what happens if the glass breaks... I don't know, loud noise?
Love all the beautiful colors! It must be spectacular in person:)
Thanks for stopping by!

I don't think I have ever see that many marbles at once. WOW!
Incredible! I just saw something to get for my son for Christmas that was wood and had 9 different colors of marbles with shooters. My son isn't interested in the game at all either- He just constantly rolls them around on our new hardwood floors. Ugh... annoying sometimes but he enjoys them. They're great learning manipulatives as well (counting, colors, science, etc)
Now that's cool. I share your love of marbles but I absolutely love how you have these displayed. I won't comment on you losing your marbles though since I've already lost mine!!
What a punch of color! I LOVE how that looks. I too love marbles. I have my fathers from when he was a child. The bag they they are in is still dirty from the schoolyard! LOL! Thanks for linking up to Thrifty Thursday!
HUGS!!

Such a simple idea, but they look so gorgeous. I especially like the jadeite ones. I wish I knew where marbles like these can be found today.
Great collection! Very inventive use of the draw and I love it against your teal walls.
