I was told that what we consider petals are actually just colored leaf foliage, the true "flower" of a poinsettia is in the center.

There really are some gorgeous Poinsettias out there now days. I had heard that about the flower being colored leaves before. I love vintage items with Poinsettia images! Thanks for sharing with SYC.
