Cedarburg Card designs, Outdoor Wed No. 16
Here are some card designs I have created for Pizzazz, a shop in Cedarburg, Wisconsin that sells some of my cards. Cedarburg has a beautiful river winding it's way through the community that I just love. I am now planning on photographing the same locations in different seasons, lighting conditions, and weather, just like Monet did. (Well, OK, he painted).
I am only now experimenting with adding text to the cards. Ouch! So many choices - font, font color, font size, text prominence and location in the photo... Do I want different cards to have the same fonts, or different ones...
Let me know your opinions...
Click here for an excellent example of Monet's variability with the same location...

Beautiful photos. Love the first one with all the red reflections.
I'm with Shirely I love them both but I'm liking the colours of the first one best! Beautiful pictures! I think all different types of font are nice! Hope you are having a great week, and Happy Outdoor Wednesday: ) Sherri
Different seasons would be so beautiful. Same site yes. I love different fonts myself, so many choices.
Good Luck I know you will choose wisely.

P.S. I hear you have great cheese in Wisconsin. So do we.
I love that idea! I can't believe the vivid colors in those photos! Just warmed my heart... I don't know about the fonts tho... except I would keep things small so one could totally enjoy the beautiful photography... I like things simple I suppose.
Have a great rest of the week

These photos make beautiful cards. I love trees reflected on the water. Hope you find just the right font.
Hi Jeanne, I love the richness of the colors and you did capture to show the beautiful reflection!
P.S. I don't understand what you mean by "meme tag", I for one have not read nor seen this in the blogosphere.
I love the mirror like lake and the beautiful autumn trees. I think a clear print readable font is always best and not too large to obstruct rhe beautful photograph! Good luck with your project and Happy Outdooe Wednesday!
The first shot with the reflections is far and away the best.
You design cards? Wow....so very very impressive.
My O W is a nearby marshland with waterfowl and Autumn colors...and a surprise L N Monster visit!!!
Come by and see
I agree with Hootin's Annie, excellent cards design you have!
I explored the Jogging trail this time.
Photo Autumn colors and scenery.
Very pretty - thanks for sharing.
These photos would, indeed, make great cards. The river is quite serene. Thanks for sharing your photos with us. Have a great Outdoor Wednesday.
hi jeanne!! where did you take this photo? i can't place the spot.
i like the top card better, but with the words on the bottom like in the second card.
good luck with your cards and pizzazz!!
what a pretty river and setting. I would keep the cards as simple as possible in order to highlight the natural beauty. Good luck!
Great fall colors. The font seemed a little bold to me. It must be really hard to decide. I would think a black and white photo may need a different look altogether and it looked like a vintage picture different again.
Anyways you photos are really beautiful.
Hello Jeanne,
I love the richness of the colors in the first picture. I was sidetracked when I caught a glimpse of the sunflowers on your sidebar. I will have to come back later and check out your Etsy shop.
Thank you for sharing today!
