New York Christmas Windows Part 2

I love stores that have beautiful Window Displays, and this is my 2nd post featuring some of my favorite Christmas Window displays from my December 2018 trip to New York City.  The artistry I saw in New York inspires me in some of the arts and crafts I attempt, and I'm sharing these to inspire others as well.
(I hope the ever present reflections in the photos don't take away from the images too much, these are snapshots from the sidewalk at the time of day I passed the window.  Just getting photos without others in the way required patience, and I couldn't get rid of the reflections.)

Henri Bendel's 2018 New York Christmas Window Display featured contemporary pen and ink drawings of an imaginative New York City skyline against a glittery night sky.

Some of the buildings were wrapped like presents, some were formed by creative lettering.

The Christmas tree in the display had a watercolor effect with both watercolor and inked ornaments collaged over it.  So simple yet breathtaking.

(OK, maybe I am biased - I've taken more than four lettering, calligraphy, and pen and ink drawing classes and workshops in the last 2 years.)

I wish I could draw and letter like this!  I admire the extra lines in black randomly put in on some of the strokes.

The designer of this window inspires me.  Decades ago Bendel employed Andy Warhol as their in-house illustrator, before he moved on to his "15 minutes" (at least) of fame.  Good luck to this illustrator, I would love to see more of their work.

[  Sadly, the Bendel's store is going out of business after the 2018 Christmas season, after 123 years in business. ]

Another window display that caught my eye is shown above.  Cleverly lit stars glow and appear to be hanging from a ladder, reflected in the shards of mirror below, with a chandelier on the ground casually adding a lot more sparkle.

This photo is more seasonal decoration than a window display, but it definitely made the trip up the escalator more interesting.  I love the Neon sign saying "Give what you Love, Love what you Give".  New York definitely Gives a lot of visuals to Love at Christmas time for me!
