Valentines Day Hutch |
Here is my hutch arranged for Valentines Day. I have five contemporary novelty plates on the hutch that don't quite fit with the rest, but I am going to pretend that they work.
Swinnertons Staffordshire Plate |
I like Swinnertons "Kent" china from Staffordshire England for Valentines day. I think they really have a valentines feel to them because of the border.
Otagiri Birds |
The two cute birds above are manufactured by the Otagiri company. I got them for $1.50, and I like their cheerful chubbiness. They keep hanging around from plate change to plate change.
Next year I hope to have more time to arrange my hutch for Valentines Day, and include some Valentines I have. I look at my photos now and I want to spread out the contemporary plates better. But for 2011 time has run out. This year I am just digging through boxes to see what I have. (I am kind of photo inventorying my collection now that I have a hutch to display them in).

Okay, Jeanne. After weeks of seeing the assortment of gorgeous china you display in your china hutch, I have to ask. Why did you second guess yourself for buying the hutch? You needed that baby to show off all your pretties!!! ;) Does your son "get it" now?
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking to the party. And if you haven't entered the giveaway yet, be sure to do so.
Have a wonderful weekend!

ReplyDeleteHugs,
Susan
I know this is from last year, but I have to tell you how much I love your artistic display in your hutch. I think it all works, including the more contemporary pieces. Just beautiful.
ReplyDelete- The Tablescaper
You are inspiring me to change out the dishes in our Welsh Dresser more often. I keep my Quimper and other French faience on display there year round, but I should change it up seasonally.
ReplyDeleteThere is the hutch I love so much! I really need that hutch so I can start lovely displays like this for the holidays! Thanks again for sharing at Celebrate Your Story!
ReplyDeleteI, too, love collecting plates and reticulated edges, especially ones with pink roses. Occasionally violets, forget me nots, and even lilacs. I went through every post of your hutch arrangements and totally enjoyed myself. My favorite is the pink roses with the bright purple and gold! I envy you your collection; I have an inkling of how you enjoy it as I enjoy mine!
