How tragic this was. I hope they will be able to restore the cathedral to its former beauty.

The firefighters did an amazing job to save so much.

Great shot! So beautiful and historic. Thanks goodness donations are pouring in and a rebuild is possible with key architecture still in place.

Same. I am grateful no lives were lost and that much of the artwork is still intact, though.

Mine, too... Thank you for posting Notre Dame's beautiful rosette window. This was one of the first things in my high school French class that I fell in love with from France. Part of this coming week's features at SYS #205, in remembrance, and looking to the future... <3

Happy Easter to you, Jeanne,
Bisous,
Barb :)

My heart is broken too...this is a lovely photo of that gorgeous window. Thank God the window survived, and so much more as well. Notre Dame will continue on...

What beauty ! Hope soon they bring it back to it's beauty and splendor, as Europe did with entire cities after WWII.
How sad it is indeed. When I was 21 I went to Europe to different countries and when we were in Paris one of the must visits for my mom was Notre Dame.
Have a lovely Easter dear friend.

Thank you for sharing. Thank heavens the stained glass windows were saved.
My post features a hike in the “Issaquah Alps,” Washington State, USA.
