Spring Easter Wreath in Prague, Czech Republic

I saw this beautiful spring Easter wreath in Prague (Praha) this past summer. The wreath has painted eggs, birds, and even buttons painted to coordinate with the eggs. I love the colors and abundance of this wreath.

The wreath was on the door of a shop on Golden Lane in "Alchemist's Alley" in the Prague Castle.   Check out the hardware on the door - authentic, old, but the door colors seem very contemporary. 

I have visions of someday creating something similar, but that won't be happening this Easter!

Vintage find: Bubbles Paperweight

I recently found a vintage Waterford Crystal glass paperweight with bubbles in a resale shop.  Bubbles, usually so ephemeral and briefly existent, stay frozen in this glass "forever".  These trapped bubbles invite my gaze in, and capture my imagination.

The paperweight (shown below) below is labeled "Evolutions" by Waterford, which is an Irish company.  The blues and greens seem perfect for St' Patrick's Day.

I have another clear glass globe with trapped bubbles.  The way surrounding room colors reflect around the bubbles can be mesmerizing, with the colors of other objects nearby changing the look of the glass. It makes me content.
